The newly minted CVA Tournament for amateur volleyball officially kicked off Sunday, 11/10/2019, in the San Andres Sports Gym in Malate, Manila.
The inauguration of the Community Volleyball Association kicked off first with 18 Under Girls Game Tournament spearheaded by CVA Founding President Carlo Maceda and Tournament Director Alvin Tañada. Present in the opening ceremony are four of the amateur teams in Stalwart Guardian of Laguna, Las Piñas St Mark Institute Lady Bisons, Gracel Christian College Foundation of Taguig and California Academy of Rizal.

The first game of the 18-Under Tournament between Laguna's Stalwart Guardian and Las Piñas St Mark Institute Lady Bisons was won by the gritty Stalwart Guardian in four sets with the scores 25-15, 21-25, 25-21 and 27-25.
Stalwart Guardians wallops their rival in the first set with an easy 25-15 but in the next set, the St Mark's Lady Bison won it by slim 21-25. Stalwart re-took the next 2 sets in 25-21 and 27-25 with the last set having 2 match point before open spiker and eventual Player of the Game Angel Joy Campos closes the match.

The recently turned 15 year old Grade 9 student Angel Joy Campos booked the CVA's history as the first Player of the Game in the 18-Under Tournament. The young lass credits their team setter in the eventual win, notes that in the 2nd set, they started to get rattled with the grit of the rival but their play maker-setter, Reanne Clamosa made them get their grooves back on and won. "Si Ate Reanne po, siya yung setter namin. Kapag nararattle na po kami, siya po ang tumutulong sa amin. kasi mahirap po magdistribute ng bola, kapag mali po yung receive pero nagagawan pa rin po niya kaya nakakapalo pa rin po ako."
The POG made mention also that she joined CVA as she idolizes three of the professional volleyball players today namely, Jia Morado, Maddy Madayag and her role model, the Superstar Alyssa Valdez.

Sunday's opening also showcases the 2nd match in Gracel Christian College Foundation vs. California Academy with the latter winning in straight sets with scores 14-25, 24-26, 26-28
